Electrolysis happens
when pipe systems of different metal alloys are connected together, glavanic and stray currents cause electrolisys in the piping systems which vastly accellerate corrosion and deterioration of the piping systems. The installation of Dielectric Fittings creates an electrical barrier between the different pipe systems. This stops galvanic and stray currents which cause electrolysis of the pipe systems.
